Short Description | "Some domain names are considered more credible than others" |
Description | This video *is* actually a very useful guide for students and provides a thorough overview of the research process and outlines many characteristics to help assess a website's credibility. In one step, however, the video overemphasizes the utility of reading the website's domain name as an indication of the websites trustworthiness. While the video does note the need to always independently research the organization in question, it still is slightly misleading when it states that all .org sites are created by organizations. As this website demonstrates, this is just not always true |
